On July 21, 2015, the Metropolitan Council passed Substitute Ordinance No. BL2015-1139 to establish a requirement for affordable and workforce housing units, and to authorize the Planning Department to establish rules and regulations in accordance with this ordinance. This ordinance amended Section 3, Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code to include inclusionary zoning in the recommendations the Planning Department would present within 6 months.
